reunion

The Story

So we all gathered at the Best Western in Matamoras, Pa the day after Thanksgiving for a rauchous time. There was a DJ, a buffet dinner, and what else, oh yeah, an open bar. The party went from 7 to 11, but it continued afterwards in the hotel bar where many of us made quick use of the Karaoke machine.

Everybody made contact with the people from the past and some people from the present. For instance, Dennis Degraw and Dawn Gomez are now married. Others of us still call our best friend our high school chum. But the night was filled with talking, singing, and dancing nonetheless.

Rachel Morris traveled all the way from California for the reunion. Most of us though only had to drive an hour or two. But many of us didn't drive after the festivities, staying at the BW and brunching the next day.

As many pictures as possible were taken, though some of us failed to put film in the camera. These pictures were culled from the table cameras, that Cheryl graciously organized and developed. Unfortunately, some cameras went for a walk and never came back. We don't mind, but we would like any pictures that you may have taken. Please send them to me by email or snail mail.

We spent most of the evening talking about what we were all doing for the past 10 years. Going to college. Starting a job. Getting married. Having kids. Having a great time hopefully.

Some of the tidbits: Lance Aug was about to head off to Saudi Arabia as part of his tour as an Air Force officer. Heather Hobaugh was just about to head off to the west coast to be an exotic animal trainer. We were all glad to hear that Nic Appice was not in the Trade Centers. We were all sad to hear about Renea Heverly and Brian Dunn and our hearts went out to Athony Heleno who was undergoing surgery. Megan Oesen Miller couldn't make it to the reunion because she gave birth to a baby girl just days prior.
